React Native Text Input Blur Focus on Tap Touchable

I have a standard TextInput wrapped in a scrollview. When I tap outside the textinput, the focus is blurred, as expected.

However, sometimes I tap a button when inside the textinput, expecting for the button to respond immediately. However, always the first tap merely unfocuses the textinput.

Expected behavior would be for that first tap to automatically unfocus the textinput and respond to the button tap at the same time. Is there any way to do that?

  1. Hello I am so delighted I found your website, I really found you by error, while I was looking on Google
for something else, Anyways I am here now and would just like to say kudos
for a incredible post and a all round interesting blog (I also love the theme/design), I don’t have time to browse it all at the minute but I have bookmarked it and also
included your RSS feeds, so when I have time I will be back to read much more, Please do keep up the awesome work.

  2. I have been browsing on-line more than three hours as of late, but I by
no means discovered any fascinating article like yours. It
is pretty value sufficient for me. In my view, if all website owners
and bloggers made just right content material as you did, the web might
be a lot more helpful than ever before.

  3. Greetings! I know this is kinda off topic but I’d figured I’d ask.
Would you be interested in trading links or maybe guest writing a blog
post or vice-versa? My site discusses a lot of the same subjects as yours and I think we could greatly benefit from each other.
If you’re interested feel free to send me an e-mail.
I look forward to hearing from you! Terrific blog by the way!
